Due to COVID19 and for contact tracing reasons, this season we are requiring everyone to create a simple account when making your reservations for recreation swim. By creating an account you will be able to keep your reservation information in your account for reminders and history.

Hours of Operation/Fees

Due to COVID-19, this season SWIMMING RESERVATIONS are required for ALL sessions prior to visiting the pool. 

There are three sessions (1.5 hours each sessions) daily for Open Recreational Swimming. All guests visiting the Empire Pool need to sign up and make reservation for each swimmer per session. Everyone in attendance will receive a wristband for each Session reserved. A new wristband must be purchased at the Admission Windows to obtain entry per session.

GENERAL ADMISSION- $4.00 (Swimmers & Non-Swimmers)
ADMISION GENERAL- $4.00 (Para personas que van a nadar y las que no van a nadar)

Stanislaus County PAL cordially invites everyone to enjoy some fun in the sun this summer at The Regional Water Safety Training Center located in Empire, CA.

COVID-19 RULES WHILE VISITING THE EMPIRE POOL-

If you have had flu like
symptoms in the last 24 hours, please stay home


If you feel sick, please stay home


Please maintain social distancing of the 6 feet at all times


Please wash your hands after use of restrooms


Please come dress ready to swim prior to entering facility. This will be reduced the amount time needed to change and use of restrooms.


Life Jackets are NOT available to loan this year

Amenities
The Regional Water Safety Training Center is the newest facility in Stanislaus County, built in 2009. This facility can accommodate approximately 165 patrons and offers the following amenities:

  • 3ft-ft swimming pool with guard rails located at the shallow end for easy access.
  • Separate youth water play structure.
  • Outdoor Showers.
  • Drinking Water Fountains.
  • Snack Bar (Sale of Pre-packaged snacks, drinks, ice cream and swim diapers)
  • Covered Picnic Area equipped with tables and benches. (non-reservable)
  • Public dual restrooms complete with changing areas.
  • Grass/Lawn area.
  • ADA Compliant Facility.

Some Rules to consider when visiting our pool:

  • NO COLORED SHIRTS ALLOWED! Only white or light grey shirts are permitted.
  • Swim Diapers must be worn by all youth that are NOT potty-trained.
  • No jean cut-offs or cut-off shorts allowed.
  • STRICTLY SWIMWEAR ONLY.
  • NO FLOATIES OR TOYS ARE ALLOWED!
  • NO REFUNDS ARE AVAILABLE.
  • PERSONS HAVING CURRENTLY ACTIVE DIARRHEA OR WHO HAVE HAD ACTIVE DIARRHEA WITHIN THE PREVIOUS 14 DAYS SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE POOL WATER.

Our Lifeguards
All lifeguards employed by the Stanislaus County Police Activities League are currently certified in the following:

  • First Aid Certified, by the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association.
  • CPR & AED Certification for the professional rescuer, by the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association.
  • Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations.
  • Blood Borne Pathogens Certified by the American Red Cross.
  • Tuberculosis Clearance.
  • Other clearance: Fingerprint/Background Check by the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department.

SWIM LESSONS

SWIM LESSONS- FOR 2021 SEASON!

Swim lessons will be in the water with instructor. If you prefer another method due to COVID concerns, please visit other City Parks and Recreation departments as they may offer out of the water swim lessons. 

Stanislaus County Police Activities League is happy to offer youth swim lessons. Our goal is to teach basic personal water safety information and skills to help each individual feel comfortable in the water. We offer levels 1-4 so students will have an opportunity to progress through our Learn to Swim Program and build knowledge and water skill. See below for additional information.

Learn to Swim Lessons- $35.00 per Session
Swimming lessons will be offered Tuesday- Friday. Cost is $35.00 per child for 8 lessons. Scholarships available ONLY to those families unable to pay regular fees. Must be able to provide income verification. This year registrations will be online only.

Session 2: July 6 - July 16 (Tue-Fri)
Session 3: July 27 - August 6 (Tue-Fri)

Pool Rental Information

EXCLUSIVE USE RENTAL - FOR 2021 SEASON!

Option 1- Exclusive Use Rental

The exclusive use rental is for anyone interested in renting the entire facility of a private party. This option requires for event to be booked at least 2 weeks in advance, reservations must be made at the Empire Pool in person. Payment is due at time of reservation.

Rental requirements & Cost

  1. Minimum rental period is 2 hours.
  2. Maximum number of guests is 80 per rental. This number can change based on any state & local mandates.  
  3. Rental times are as follow: Saturday & Sundays from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. (2 Hours) or 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. (2 Hours)
  4. ALL pool rules applies at all times during rental.
  5. Alcoholic beverages are NOT allowed at any time.
  6. No smoking inside pool area is allowed.
  7. Cancellation of reservation must be made NO later than 3 days in advance by the person that made original reservation and original receipt must be presented.
  8. Please ensure your guest as well as renters respect ALL rules to include pool personnel at all times.
  9.  Any children in diapers must wear swimming diapers at all times while inside of pool water.
  10. Any food caters must leave facility in good and clean condition.

Total cost of rental $300.00

Option 2- Open Swim Rental- CANCELLED for 2021 Season due to COVID

The open swim rental takes place during our regular open swim times. Under this option we will set up 2 awnings for a group of 25 (including children), on a designated area inside the pool. This option will provide the following:

  1. 2 awnings
  2. 4 tables/ 25 chairs
  3. 5 hours of swim time for everyone in group of 25.
  4. No waiting outside the pool in between sessions.
  5. ALL Pool rules applies at all times.
  6. NO alcohol of any kind allowed. If renters guests brings alcohol inside the facility, we reserved the right to remove anyone from the facility (no refunds).
  7. Children in diapers are required to wear swimming diapers at all times while in the pool water.
  8. Food caters are NOT allowed to cook/prepare any food inside facility.

Total cost of rental- CANCELLED FOR  2021 Season

Please note under both options parties are allowed to bring their own food for their gathering. Further, ALL pool rules fully enforced and applicable to all rental times.
